For more than 10 years Dr. János Oláh has been working specifically with caddisflies and has identified more than 150 new species on Batanta Island alone.
Róbert Horváth PhD
Zoologist & Natural Scientist
Previously employed in various positions in the Hungarian National Parks, Dr. Róbert Horváth is one of the founders of the Papua Paradise EcoResort and has been a staff member for many years. His research topics in Papua are: faunistics, ecology, conservation - Trichoptera and vertebrates, with special emphasis on fish (Pisces) and birds (Aves). He is the initiator of the Batanta Project and has been doing field work since 2010.
Tibor Kovács
Biologist & Chief Museologist
Tibor Kovács is a staff member of the Mátra Museum of the Hungarian Museum of Natural Sciences. His research topics in Batanta include: faunistics, taxonomy, ecology - Ephemeroptera, Trichoptera, Odonata (dragonflies), Coleoptera (xylophagous and saproxylophagous beetles), and Pisces (fishes). He has been involved in field research in Batanta since 2014.

Dr. Péter Juhász has worked in various positions in Hungarian research institutes and the National Parks. He has been involved in field research in Batanta since 2014 and specialises in Faunistics, taxonomy, ecology - Trichoptera, Odonata and Pisces.
