Fundraising
Each 3 week expedition costs around 2,500 Euros per person. Since the very beginning of the Batanta Project this has been covered personally by the researchers.
With your help, more research could be undertaken on this very precious area of our beautiful Earth. Here are some examples of how your donation could be used by the Batanta Project.
€15 Euros pays for a boat driver or helper for 1 day
€60 Euros buys gasoline for the boat for a 1 day collection trip
€400 Euros pays for the equipment required for a 3 week collection expedition
€3,000 Euros will buy flights, equipment, and food for 1 researcher or guest researcher on a 3 week expedition.
For larger donations researchers will consult with the person or organisation providing the grant when naming a new species.
If you would like to make more efficiente the Batanta Project, you can support any of the cost item. You can undertake the financig of a small or large costs of a field day. We tried to compile the list of costs in such a way that those who intend to support the program can find the scale on which they can be part of our work and results.
